UCC Domestic Policy Advocate Abigail Cipparone, Diane Dulan, Stephanie Gilstrom, and Allie Perry advocating on the Hill
On their return to Washington, DC, Stones Cry Out delegates, and those who joined them there, brought to legislators on the Hill urgent appeals for them to take these next steps:
1. That the United States support a resolution in the United Nations Security Council calling for an immediate unconditional ceasefire;
2. That the United States stop the supply of weapons that Israel is using against the people of Gaza;
3. That the United States calls for the release and return of all Israeli hostages, and a release of all Palestinian prisoners held in Israel without a public trial;
4. That the United States restore funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and insist on massive humanitarian aid and reconstruction so that all Gazans can return to their towns and villages;
5. That the administration re-evaluate its policy toward Israel, conditioning any aid to Israel on cessation of its military occupation of Palestinian lands and on steps to dismantle Israel's apartheid laws and structures.
