In Support of Students and Free Speech

Students around the country have been taking the lead, speaking out against Israel’s plausible genocide, standing up for a permanent ceasefire and justice for all, and calling their own schools to account. Some college and university administrations are leading by example, listening, negotiating, and entering into agreements. Here are some examples: 

Brown University, Providence, RI; Evergreen College, Olympia, WA; Northwestern University, Evanston, IL; and Wesleyan University, Middletown, CT.

 

However, many others, indeed most, as if using the same playbook, have been heavy-handed, dismantling encampments and criminalizing protests. Looking for ways to support this student led peace and justice movement? In addition to visiting encampments local to you, here are three organizations with links through which you can send letters to many of the college and university administrators:
