An open letter to VP Kamala Harris on the occasion of her ceasefire speech

US Vice President Kamal Harris speaks at the Edmund Pettus Bridge

During an event to commemorate the 59th Anniversary of Bloody Sunday

VP HARRIS: What we are seeing every day in Gaza is devastating. We have seen reports of families eating leaves or animal feed, women giving birth to malnourished babies with little or no medical care, and children dying from malnutrition and dehydration.

This is absolutely true. The people in northern Gaza have been almost entirely without food or water since January.

VP HARRIS: As I have said many times, too many innocent Palestinians have been killed.

This is absolutely true. The Biden administration has been saying this for months. Some anonymous, murderous Entity has been killing these innocent Palestinians and ignoring the complaints of the most powerful country in the world.
