“Advent is a time of not only waiting but of staying awake, preparing for journeys, living into proclamations, and singing songs of God’s great reversal.” With these words the Rev. Loren McGrail invites us into the collection of reading, poems, prayers, and images she has compiled, on behalf of UCC PIN, as a ritual for our reflection during the four weeks of Advent. Possible uses for this collection are several: personal meditation, advent wreath candle lighting at home or in the sanctuary in the context of worship, or as an opening for Advent Bible studies.
